GLYDE® uses regulated and quality controlled suppliers for its active ingredients to ensure quality and consistency. The ingredients are tested externally and internally to ensure their purity, quality and concentration.
GLYDE® does not contain shark cartilage (shark fins) as it is an unsustainable and environmentally inappropriate, resulting in the inhumane slaughter of over 70 million sharks annually. GLYDE® uses bovine cartilage which has also been shown to provide a more consistent concentration of Chondroitin as feedlot animals have a more controlled nutritional intake.
Purity
GLYDE® uses pure forms of the active ingredients to ensure its effectiveness, safety and reliability. Obtaining pure glucosamine and chondroitin requires extensive processing of the raw materials. Other manufacturers may use less expensive, ground up or other less pure forms of these ingredients. For this reason they cannot specify the precise amount of Chondroitin or Glucosamine reducing the effectiveness, safety and consistency of the product.
Optimal Dosing
Utilising demonstrated therapeutic dose levels is necessary to obtain an optimal clinical outcome. GLYDE® uses dosing that has been demonstrated in clinical trials in dogs to be the most effective. Under dosing is likely to result in a suboptimal outcome, while overdosing may cause gastrointestinal side effects.
Unique Registered Product
GLYDE® is the only APVMA and ACVM registered nutraceutical containing both Glucosamine and Chondroitin as well as Green Lipped Mussel (containing ETA), in a validated, therapeutic dose.
Manufacturing Process
GLYDE® is manufactured under strict pharmaceutical standards to ensure a high quality, consistent product. It is produced in a highly regulated, custom built manufacturing facility that has been designed to manufacture human and veterinary pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals to world wide standards.
